AI coding assistants often learn older APIs from their training data. Point your assistant at the current FileKit docs so its code matches the version you use.

MCP server

The FileKit docs run a hosted Model Context Protocol server. Once connected, your assistant can search and read the docs while it writes code.
You can also use the page menu at the top of any docs page to copy the MCP URL or install the server in Cursor or VS Code.

llms.txt

The docs are published in the llms.txt format, which AI tools can read directly: Paste llms-full.txt into a chat for full context, or give your agent the llms.txt URL so it fetches only the pages it needs.

Markdown pages

Every page is also available as Markdown. Add .md to the URL, for example /quickstart.md. Use the menu at the top of each page to:
  • Copy the page as Markdown.
  • View the page as Markdown.
  • Open the page in ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity with the page as context.

Project instructions

If your project uses an AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, .cursor/rules, or Copilot instructions file, add a short FileKit section. It prevents the most common mistakes:
